Nadal wrote history, and then Djokovic came
Rafael Nadal was honored to be the first player in Wimbledon history to train at Central before the start of the tournament.
As of this year, Wimbledon introduced training on the main pitches before the start of the main draw.
This was done in order to “pave” the terrain and to prevent the always present slips in the first round.
That is exactly the reason why Adrian Manarino and Serena Williams were injured last year, and there were almost new incidents.
Nadal trained with the current vice-champion of the tournament, Mateo Beretini, and the Italian won the first set with the result 6: 4.

Nadal wrote history, and then Djokovic came
Shortly afterwards, Novak Djokovic came on the field.
The greeting of the Serbian and Spanish tennis players followed, who can meet at Wimbledon only in the finals as the first and second seed.

The Serb and the Croat played two official matches at Wimbledon, and Djokovic was better in both – in 2014 in the quarterfinals with 3-2 and in 2015 in the quarterfinals with 3-0.
Wimbledon starts on June 27, and the draw is on the program on Friday at 11 am.
