Dimitropoulos was hopeful that the biggest order– which would total $382.94 – would happen at his restaurant. It sent every other area Culver’s into a “Greek Freak” frenzy, too.
Culver’s made Antetokounmpo a mouthwatering offer: In addition to fulfilling his order, the restaurant chain will also donate 54,000 diapers to the Milwaukee Diaper Mission in Franklin.
“(It) would support over 2,000 children with diapering supplies. It’s a huge donation that we are very, very grateful for,” said Meagan Johnson, the organization’s executive director.
Johnson said the exposure Antetokounmpo and Culver’s have given are nothing short of a slam dunk.
“When parents are struggling to choose between food and diapers on a weekly basis – it’s heartbreaking, and that’s primarily why we exist,” said Johnson.
Antetokounmpo said after the game that he will eat as many of the 54 burgers as he can and give the rest ot his son. So far, there has been no sign of Antetokounmpo picking up his order.
When the Bucks won the NBA Finals in 2021, Antetokounmpo celebrated a 50-point performance with 50 chicken nuggets from Chick-fil-A. Thursday night, he said he was switching restaurants after Culver’s promised him free meals.
