Right now, the Grizzlies are in the middle of a three-game winning streak, so it makes sense for them to give Morant time to get back into playing shape.
They are currently the second seed in the Western Conference with a 44-27 record in 71 games.
Over the last ten games, the Grizzlies are 6-4, and they are an outstanding 30-5 in the 35 games they have hosted on their home floor in Memphis, Tennessee.
Morant was having another stellar season before his time away from the team and has averages of 27.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 8.2 assists per contest in 53 games.

The former Murray State star has led the Grizzlies to the NBA Playoffs in each of the last two seasons and is one of the best point guards in the entire NBA.

They are on a two-game losing streak and an abysmal 6-28 in the 34 games they have played on the road outside of Houston, Texas.
